NO TAV
is an italian popular movement, born in the early 90s, made of groups of citizens united by opposition to the construction of infrastructure for high-capacity and high-speed rail (commonly known as TAV, which stands for "high speed train").
No Tav movement, for the particular social conflict, the extent of the phenomenon and the media impact in Italy has been a major feature within the national politic framework.
Railway lines in the center of the protests are challenged mainly because of the cost considered excessive in relation to their usefulness, even in the face of environmental impacts and damage to human health in the places affected by the construction.
Many activist that fighted against the tav building were arrested and we want to help them supporting economically the lawsuits.
